You and I can both agree that the world has complex problems. The low hanging fruit was picked long ago from the tree of scientific discovery. These days teams of scientists and engineers are required to make breakthroughs that help make the world a better place.

My primary job at NEWT is to help researchers work together as real teams, and not just a collection of very smart people. Right now the bottom billion of people on planet earth do not have reliable access to clean drinking water, this is a tragedy. NEWT is an NSF sponsored Engineering Research Center brought together to help solve this problem.

You can also hear me on Helium a podcast I host with Christine Ogilvie Hendren. Helium exists to help early career researchers land, master and lead in their faculty positions.

I am always interested in meeting scientists, engineers and managers (especially early career researchers) that work on teams solving big and complex problems.
